“Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.”-Forrest Gump
Being a wedding photographer is sometimes like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get when you show up on the wedding day and prepare to capture the memories of your clients.
I love when the clients I work for bring their "A game" (which is really being themselves and present at the moment) like my couple, Joelina and Phil. Although this was not their wedding day, instead of a re-commitment of their love and dedication as partners for life, they planned the wedding they never got to have. And they started by choosing a destination wedding in Bass Lake, Ca., on the lake with just their closest friends and family.
I feel like the luckiest photographer in the world getting to capture a sincere couple like Joelina and Phil. Two beautiful daughters later and they are still completely obsessed with each other.
In not "never knowing what you're gonna get", the weather has forecasted a thunderstorm and rain during the portraits and ceremony which was all set for outdoors. How we were pleasantly surprised when it did not rain, but the sun came out and brought all the glorious white fluffy clouds with it. It was seriously epic and created the most sublime sunset bridal portrait session I could have asked for.
I hope you enjoy this intimate Vow Renewal by the lake showcasing a stunning wedding dress made by Sottero & Midgley, and bridesmaids in pastel blue and pink dresses from Show Me Your Mumu , along with mint green table settings with classic white hydrangeas flowers and gold accent decorations by Sweet Dream Cakes and Flowers in Oakhurst Ca! It was all so gorgeous.
