ARE YOU PLANNING ON DOING AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?
Below are a few things I often go over with couples who ask about doing an engagement session.
What is an engagement session? It's kind of like a date, but with little ol' me following you around with a camera asking you to cuddle and smooch for about an hour. I know these things can be a little awkward at first, but I promise we'll have fun and you'll be amazed at the results. I'll be coaching you through the process while giving good posing tips along the way. It's meant to be a relaxing time, so don't stress. Put on something nice and I'll do the rest.
Allowing this extra time before the wedding day will allow us two things; one, we'll be way more comfortable working together because trust has been established and two, you'll have amazing pictures to look back on and remember why you fell in love.
Your engagement session can be a simple walk through the park or we can take our time and head to the hills for a relaxing scenic adventure. I am always open to new locations and would love to hear your ideas. If you need suggestions I'd be happy to give them.
The best time to take pictures is during spring or fall when the Central Valley is coolest and most scenic. You can take your engagement pictures as soon as you want or a month from your wedding day. Some couples choose to create "Save the Date" invitations and will need to have their session done much sooner.
An engagement session doesn't have to be another big expense added to your budget. In fact, I'll offer a free session when booking a full day's wedding coverage with me! This session is so important that I would rather invest a little time upfront than get to the wedding day and feel out of sync.
Some couples have already decided on doing an engagement session and would like to upgrade their session to something more scenic with a wardrobe change. Upgrades factor in travel and length of a session. Please contact me for details and pricing.
